Jhirna Zone is one of the popular zones among the six ecotourism zones in the Corbett National Park. The Corbett National Park is divided into the six tourism zone among which Jhirna zone is added much later in 1994. In order to extend the Tiger reserve zone, the farming lands of the Jhirna village and other two villages were included in the reserve territory.
The Gairal Rest House is the best forest house after the Dhikala rest house in the Dhikala zone. This place is a precious gem situated cozily in the lap of nature away from the crowd and chaos of the city. It is located around the 13 km from Dhangarhi, the entry gate of Dhikala zone and around 40 km from the Ramnagar city.
The southernmost ridge of Sarapduli Forest Lodge houses the Bijrani and Malani forest rest houses. As the tourists move on the northern side of the northern ridge, they would come across a road running through the reserve forest area.
